Hi everyone, 👋
I spend most of my time around small charity and community boards, and if there's one admin job that causes quiet dread, it's the minutes — turning a two-hour meeting into something clear, accurate and actually compliant.
So I've put together a few templates that anyone here is welcome to use, free and with no sign-up: a committee minutes template (built around decisions and how people voted, rather than a word-for-word transcript), a meeting agenda, and a compliance calendar to keep the annual return, policy reviews and filings from sneaking up on you. The genuine reason I'm posting, though, is I'd love to hear how others handle it. Do you have a volunteer secretary who writes them up, a staff member, or do you record and type them up afterwards? And for those with no paid staff at all — how do you stop it landing on the same exhausted person every time? Always keen to learn what actually works.
