Freelance fundraising - advice needed please!

Your Charity Career

Hi - probably like a good many people out there in these strange times I am reassessing my way of working as a fundraiser... and I'm increasingly leaning towards the idea of working more on fixed term / freelance contracts (e.g. delivering a certain number of bids over a certain number of months) rather than just moving from one permanent role to another after a number of years - I would also like to try and use this (potential) shift as an opportunity to transition to working more remotely in future
I would prefer, if possible, to achieve this without formally setting up as a fundraising consultant (although that is also definitely an option)
Does anyone have any practical suggestions for someone in my shoes considering this sort of shift? Have you successfully made this sort of move yourself and if so do you have any tips to share that might help me to navigate a way ahead? Are there any recruitment / search agencies that specialise in this kind of work?
All suggestions very welcome! Thanks
