Fundraising strategy dos and don’ts

Hello all, I am the Ops Director for a small charity and have been asked to produce a fund raising strategy for 2026. I have never been involved in fundraising before so any pointers, dos and don’ts, would be greatly appreciated. Also, if you have any templates for recording events that you are happy sharing.
