As we see cash, cheque and DD donations declining then we need to reach out to millennials and Generation Z donors in their preferred environments.
Do you have time to give me an introduction to how computer gaming can be used to raise funds?
I'm aware of Twitch as one platform but am keen to understand how such activity can be monetised for good causes as I have read that this income stream is set to grow exponentially. In the UK alone it's estimated 37.3 million people are gamers, and the UK games industry generated £3.5bn in 2018.
I know Cats Protection (Pawsome Players) have ventured into this funding stream with some early signs of success as many gamers have cats and when the moggy appears in shot with the game player the donations shoot up.
