bit of a tricky question here and one where I fear the answer might not be what I want!
So we are trying to use all of our volunteers to push and promote our Big Give Christmas Challenge. This includes our trustees, what I want to do is email each of them requesting that they push the campaign to their networks and provide them with the donate link in order to do so.
My concern is that under GDPR - I am assuming they should not be putting the donate link in their own emails as this would be direct marketing? Or trusting that I give them the phrasing that they are raising money 'in aid of' rather than 'on behalf of' - would we then be ok for them to contact others via direct email?
