I am a volunteer and trustee of a recently registered small charity called Shrewsbury Repair Cafe. We repair household items for free on our monthly sessions but welcome donations to help cover our costs. Most of these donations come in cash on the day in our venue, into a collection tin anonymously. Am I right in saying that these can be counted as small donations under the gift aid scheme?
Have any of you had experience of claiming gift aid through the small donation scheme and is there anything that we should be ware of or have in place?
