Hi all, 

I hope everyone is well and your organisations are holding up under the current strain.

I'm doing a bit of volunteering for a local organisation and they are wanting to apply for some emergency funding to continue to carry out the Covid -19 response. As it's a community group, they don't have the normal documentation that I would normally use for funding requests in my day job (governance docs etc.). There's another established charity that have offered to be the named charity in essence and then the application would be for the project this local org is doing. 

I'm encouraging the community group to get themselves set up as soon as possible in a more official capacity as id I'd rather apply directly as the community org. However, I thought I would check and see if anyone here had any insight on applying through another org  and how that might work in terms of compliance etc. Should I just push ahead on my insistence they get set up officially ASAP. As a side note, the community org currently has around 700 volunteers who are busy doing tasks, shopping, prescription pick ups, distributing donated food etc. and a receiving referrals from the local council, if that helps.
