CharityConnect: I have just started my CIC
Hello everyone,
Firstly thank you to anyone who reads my first post 😊
I have just created a CIC which will enable to Neuro-diverse community access personal training and Nutritional advice. I have owned my own facility for a number of years, and have been offering my services to people from the community since day one. I have created a case study, about the barriers people face when it comes to finding something that actually caters for their physical and psychological needs, and that they aren't just an after thought. My current gym caters to everyone and I will soon be passing all of the business into the CIC. I am in contact with a few charities who have expressed an interest in working with us, and we will be looking at helping a larger demographic soon.
My biggest problem is because I am moving my sole trader business into the CIC, I need to access funds for a bigger set up. everywhere I have looked wants to see how long the CIC has been trading, to see whether the business is viable. I know its viable because I have been profitable for over a decade. and I feel a bit bewildered at what to do next. The website is being built and with be completed in the next week or so, I have applied for a bank account (who would have thought that would be so difficult!). I already have users from the community, and lager charities looking to partner.
Any help or suggestions would be very much appreciated.
Thanks for reading 😊
James
