INGO indemnity insurance query

Finance

Jane Foy Head of Fundraising and Communications at Farms for City Children Posted 3 years ago

Hello.
I'm posting a question for a third party contact who is currently volunteering for an INGO in Peru and has a query regarding indemnity insurance.
“The NGO takes on medical interns who help out at the clinics with basic health care (e.g., administering vaccinations, changing dressings) and they are looking for indemnity insurance at the NGO level that would cover these interns. It doesn’t look like this sort of insurance exists in Peru, so wondering if anyone has experience of a similar issue and if this is something that the UK insurance market offers.”
Many thanks
Jane
