Is it wise for us to remain an unincorporated charity or undergo the registration process?

We are a small charity bringing music to the local community, donating instruments and contributing to mental well being through provision of social making music opportunities. We are an unincorporated charitable organisation.

We raise funding mostly through subscription from members and through community groups using rehearsal facilities. We are likely to turnover > £5000 this year so recognise the need to register with the charity commission.

Will registering with the Charity Commission force us to become incorporated in some way or can we remain unincorporated?
