CharityConnect: Live Q&A: Fundraising Surgery
Join our expert panel on Wednesday 30th May, 1-2pm GMT, to get all of your fundraising questions answered.

This month, CharityConnect will be hosting a ‘fundraising surgery’ with a panel of four expert fundraisers. The experts will be online on this page on Wednesday 30th May, 1-2pm, ready to answer any of your fundraising questions.
The panel has a wealth of fundraising experience, so this is the perfect opportunity for you to get professional solutions to all your fundraising challenges.
The Q&A is open to all fundraising questions, although our experts are specialists in the following areas:
  • Legacy fundraising
  • Fundraising to major donors and/or trusts
  • Strategy development
 
Meet the panel
Carol Akiwumi is a social entrepreneur, fundraiser, consultant and trainer. She is CEO of RAA Solutions, a creative fundraising and training consultancy, a fellow and trustee of the Institute of Fundraising and immediate past chair of Black Fundraisers UK. Carol is also the founder and executive chair of Money4Youth, a movement that equips young people with financial literacy skills.
 
Stephen George is founder of Good Leaders, a Fundraising and Leadership coaching consultancy. He has over 30 years fundraising experience at all levels in the UK and internationally with organisations such as NSPCC, UNICEF, RNIB, Action on Hearing Loss, Maggie’s, Scope and others and is an international speaker, writer, and podcaster. He is a former chairman of Remember a Charity and a former Vice Chairman of the UK’s Institute of Fundraising. He is currently a trustee at CLIC Sargent.
 
Angie Turner is a passionate fundraiser having worked in the charity sector for over 25 years. Angie has worked at charities including The Children’s Trust, British Red Cross, Crisis, Breast Cancer Campaign and Liveability. She has been Head of Philanthropy at The Children’s Trust for the past 5 years and was previously their Head of Corporate and Head of Community/Retail.
 
Richard Sved, Director of 3rd Sector Mission Control, is an experienced senior manager with a strong track record of strategic and operational excellence in the charity sector. He has led the fundraising team at seven national charities, and also has experience of policy, communications, mentoring and governance development.
