Hi all,

Does anyone have non-exec directors and trustees working together at their charity, or know anything about how this would work? I have some understanding of the similarities/ differences between the 2 roles from reading online, but am struggling to understand whether a charity can have both roles and how they would work together. We are a CIO and there is nothing in our governing document about non-exec directors. 

Alternatively, does anyone have volunteers that provide specialist advice and/ or act as a critical friend to their charity who would work with the CEO and trustees, but wouldn't have the same duties as a trustee (so would be less of a commitment and hopefully attract the skills we need!).
