Charity Trustees' Public liability/indemnity insurance

New

Anonymous user Posted 1 hour ago

I am chair of a small local charity which is run through a limited liability company. We are about to relaunch after a period in abeyance due to a lack of volunteers. All our trustees are unpaid part time volunteers who receive no remuneration for their work.
We are hoping to create a number of events in the forthcoming year to which the general public will be invited. I am concerned to put adequate public liability insurance in place and to provide indemnity for any acts or defaults of the individual trustees over and above the protection the limited company affords us. The anticipated turnover of the charity in the forthcoming year is not expected to exceed £100,000.
I would be extremely grateful if anyone in a similar situation can recommend appropriate insurers to achieve cover as we require.
