Our charity's staff work from home full-time. Is it usual for charities to require their staff that work remotely to log their hours? Some of our staff use 'Toggl' to do so (I think purely for their own purposes), and which allows them to specify what hours they are spending on which parts of their role.
Not all our staff are using the tool, which is beginning to cause friction - some staff think others aren't pulling their weight, and getting away with it because they're not required to record their time.
I'm interested to hear what other charity's practices are, and whether it is worth enforcing use of such a time-logging tool for staff (if only to help us monitor the staff costs of various activities)?
