Hello CharityConnect,

Some sad and exciting news to share with you all today. After nearly 2 years working with the amazing CharityConnect community, I will be leaving my role as Community Manager from next Friday, the 3rd of May 😥😥😥.

It’s been an amazing experience working with the community and I’ve learned so much from you all! I’ve loved hearing the advice you share, seeing your problems get solved and connecting you with people that have had similar challenges to you.

I really do believe in CharityConnect’s mission of helping charity professionals with their day-to-day problems. My role has let me see first-hand how valuable a community of friendly and helpful charity professionals (like you!) can be and I’m so excited to see what’s in store for CharityConnect’s future!

I am leaving to go on a bit of a travel adventure - starting with a one-way flight to Tokyo!!! 🛫😬 If you have any recommendations for that part of the world, please do send them my way.

The exciting news is that the amazing Aggie Silova will be CharityConnect’s new Community Manager. She’ll be starting on May 7th which is the next working day after I leave, so there’ll be no period that CC doesn’t have someone looking after it.

Aggie has loads of experience working with communities - most recently with the really cool GiffGaff community, so CC will definitely be in safe hands 🤗! Aggie is already super passionate about CharityConnect and really looking forward to meeting you all. She will be your go-to person to get in touch with if you have any questions or need any help, so please do help to help her to feel at home.

As most of you know, Emma Begg has been running CharityConnect from behind the scenes from the very beginning, and she's always there if you want a chat about any aspect of the community.

Thank you to you all for making my time here so enjoyable! I wish you all the best for the future and hope to stay in touch as much as I can.
