Hi
We currently use Survey Monkey for research.  Does anyone else use this or something else to do this.
Interested in finding out opinions about what is available pros and cons etc if anyone has anything it would be appreciated.
Kind regards
Lee

I can't recall exactly why I didn't go with Survey Monkey, but I used SoGoSurvey in my last post for feedback and surveys. I found it really good.  They do a free basic package for non-profits but you have to pay for more options/customisation.  https://www.sogosurvey.com/survey-software-for-nonprofits/

I think Survey Monkey is a great tool but to get the best from it you generally have to pay a subscibrition. I would consider look at tools you are already paying for such as Google Forms and Office Surveys. These collect the same raw data and whilst dont provide the amazing anaylstics tools survey monkey do, they do provide the data in a spreeadsheet which with the right knowledge and easily be put into your own stunning infographics.

Mike Preston   Thank you, I was thinking the same and use something like Microsoft Forms possibly and link it into Power BI.  The bit I am unsure of is what extra things does survey monkey do that other things such as forms etc not do.
From all the things I have looked at there does not appear to be much in it really the main bonus appears to be the visuals and analysis of the results built in.

Lee Metcalf   Yeah, I would agree completly. Its the anaylstical visuals and the ability to change anaylsis at a click. but Microsoft Forms and Power BI would also do this.

Hi Lee,

I've used smart survey for many years rather than survey monkey.  I think the functionality is slightly better value, and their customer service is very impressive.  It really depends on the functionality you need - you can use far more advanced platforms (Qualtrics etc) but they tend to be more expensive.

Hi Lee. I've used Survey Monkey most days for the last couple of years. I think it's decent. I've always used it through work so I've usually had paid accounts. I also used Typeform which does look better, but I found the functionality around downloading and analysing the responses easier in SurveyMonkey. I'm no good with design and that side of things, but from a function point of view I think it works well.
