Thought for the future

Finance

I will be as quick as I can. Charities do great work, and the UK would be a much sadder place if their work was curtailed. Also I acknowledge feelings are running very high at the moment. However, when CV is over should n't Charities consider creating their own contingency funds? ie - If Charity X raises £60m in a year then they should put 5% in their contingency fund. (5% is a suggestion). If there is guidance on allocating money to a contingency fund, please can someone inform me what it is. Trust this question is taken in the spirit it is meant.
