Afternoon all—I hope you're having a great day so far! 🌞
I was reading something interesting about the 4 day work week and thought I’d share it with you guys.
CharityJob interviewed 3 charities that were involved in the national trial and how they found it. In all examples, it energised their teams and that extra day off more than made up for their busier 4 days. One thing I was surprised to read was that one charity said they’re in meetings most of the week—I’d have assumed a reduction in working hours would naturally reduce some of those unnecessary meetings! But I think it goes to show the importance of coupling the 4 day work week with other productivity practices, to generally work smarter and not just cram 5 days of work into 4.
What are your thoughts on the 4 day week? Do you think it’s is something your charity could feasibly do?
