Hello fellow travelers,

I am quite new to this community as well as the world of 'not for profit'.
We have been recently registered with Charity Commission which was a long and but insightful process. Now that the real work begins, there are more questions than answers :) 

We are quite a small team with only four trustees (two of which reside outside of the UK, due to the specifics of our purposes). Naturally, some of them are more involved in the running of the foundation (time-wise).

My question is: how many hours would you expect a trustee to spend performing their role (p/month). Is there a rule of thumb? 

Also how important it is to delegate each trustee a specific role within the board (or is it better to keep it quite flexible and give everyone an opportunity to bring something to the table.

Any suggestion would be much appreciated.
