Use of Sumup machines at events

New

Mike Webb Treasurer at Welborne Village Hall Posted 8 hours ago

I don't know how many organisations will find this relevant, but here goes..
We use Sumup machines to take payments by bank cards at events
We have 3 machines and we sometimes use all 3 at once for our largest annual event: usually one for 'entrance', one for 'drinks' and another for 'food', etc
However, when the income comes through to our bank account I cannot differentiate income received through each machine. As treasurer, I need to be able to report entrance, food, drink, etc separately
I have been in touch with Sumup several times to find out how to do what we want to do. I have been told that the only way to do this is by setting each machine up as an 'employee'.This sounds bonkers enough but it also involves setting up an email address for each 'employee' who, of course, do not exist
Has anyone, anywhere come across this problem and found a workaround?
If not, you may want to consider going back to cash only instead!
