Does anyone have any experience in implementing a volunteer development programme into an existing structure?  We carry out induction with all our volunteers and trustee training where appropriate.  We have a mix of volunteers and trustees all from the veterinary profession and as part of the benefits of volunteering we are going to implement a training programme so that we equip people with the right skills to apply for trustee posts when they become avaialble and to ensure that as people progress through the volunteer structure they have the right skills to allow them to carry out additional tasks, chair committee etc.
My background is HR so I have been quite happy to pull together the programme, just look for some validation that I am on the right track and also to get an idea of anyone elses experiences.
