Are there any VAT implications for subletting part of our office to community groups for hot desking? We have not opted to tax the property, so our initial thought is that the sublet to other community groups should be VAT exempt.Â
Currently, we do not have enough taxable turnover to be VAT registered. However, we are aware that if we become VAT registered, this will have implications for the small community groups, as we will need to apply VAT.Â
Any initial thoughts or recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
