What criteria do you look at when looking into ethical banking?

What has everyone's experience been when researching ethical banks and their respective rates? I found via Google a top ten, which gave advantages and disadvantages. Are there ones that I should explore and ones I should avoid? The main one appears to be CAF bank, it would be good to understand what else is out there.
