CharityConnect: Writing a website brief...
We have a standalone website for one of our campaigns and it is fair to say it is past it's best...!
The website was set up years ago at a previous charity. It was set up and maintained with support from the Digital team at the time but this ended after a restructure. The website fell into a bit of a sorry state from then on as people who were unfamiliar with the CMS and structure struggled to work with it. As a result, what now exists is clunky and sprawling. There is lots of fantastic content on there but it's not easy to navigate and just looks tired.
I am really keen to change this and give the website a new lease of life that makes it as vibrant as the campaign itself. However, to do this, I need to write a website brief and am struggling to pull this together.
I've already had some really useful information shared by our Digital team here but I would really welcome any tips, templates etc from the lovely Charity Connect community around how best to approach a proposal for the redevelopment of a website. All help gratefully received!
(For anyone that wants to marvel at the offending website then here it is.)
