🤝 Meet the speakers:
Dana Segal
Dana Segal is a strategist, consultant, trainer and fundraiser. She is an expert in the cultural and creative industries, but also works across the third sector with NGOs, INGOs in the UK, Europe & Africa. Her specialisms include developing organisational strategies (for clients including World Animal Protection, Afrobarometer and UNICEF), developing fundraising strategies (Southbank Centre, York Museums Trust and The Old Courts), fundraising (raising £15+ million statutory funds, legacy fundraising, trusts & foundations, individual giving, crowdfunding and fundraising communication) and training other fundraisers and teams. She is currently Senior Partner Consultant at =mc consulting, Director of Adapt for Arts, Deputy Director of the National Arts Fundraising School, Chair of Emergency Exit Arts and Chair of Institute of Fundraising's Cultural Sector Network Group.
Lauren Ambrose
Having worked in Fundraising for nearly 10 years, Lauren Ambrose, Head of Fundraising at Girlguiding, has practical experience of generating income from a range of sources. Starting her career in face-to-face fundraising on high streets across London was no mean feat, and taught her the importance of connecting to your cause while being donor centric. Since then, Lauren has been a judge for the Aviva Community Fund, spoken at the National and Scottish Institute of Fundraising Convention, and featured on Civil Society’s 25 under 35 most influential fundraisers list.
Vanessa Longley
Vanessa Longley is the Director of Development at YoungMinds. She is passionate about good fundraising being more than just learning techniques, encouraging personal development for all fundraisers and is currently researching creative leadership in fundraising with London Business School. In her ‘spare’ time she looks for new ways to bring creativity into everyday working practice and still believes that a good story well told can change the world!
Desiree D’Souza
Desiree leads SeeAbility’s innovation and social impact teams. Her remit includes fundraising, marcomms, programme development and delivery alongside people with learning disabilities autism and sight loss. All of her work seeks to deepen the impact of the charity so that many more people with disabilities have the opportunity to participate as equal citizens. Desiree is an experienced leader, skilled at building long-term, transformational partnerships delivering education, employment and a stronger voice for underrepresented people in the UK and around the world -  sparking a desire to champion inclusion in everything she does.
Sponsored by GoodBox
