Good morning all,
I’m looking for a bit of business advice. I’ve been working with a small charity to speculatively develop a management system. They’ve shown interest in using it and are now asking how much it would cost.
I’m just a techy – no sales experience here – so I’m not sure how to handle this. I definitely don’t want to exploit the charity, but I do need to cover my costs (hosting, maintenance, etc.). I’m thinking of offering either a one-off charge or a subscription model, but I have no idea what their budget would be. They might be able to fundraise specifically for it if needed.
My plan is to keep developing the system as they use it, adding features based on their requests, and eventually offer it to other charities working in similar domains.
Any advice, ideas, or suggestions would be really welcome.
Thanks,
Simon
