AGM logistics for re-electing board leadership

Governance

Rebecca Nuttall Charity Administrator at Little People UK Posted 2 years ago

At our AGM ALL board members are required to 'stand down' and be re-elected, this includes chairperson, vice chairperson AND treasurer (who are voted on directly at the AGM) - how do we go about the logistics of voting on the chairperson and vice chairperson positions e.g. who chairs at the point when all have 'stood down'?
Can the 'old' vice chairperson chair the meeting to elect the new chairperson, who then takes over - or is there a protocol to follow?
It isn't explained in our constitution.
