After 33 years working within the VCSFE sector, I've spent the past 2 years within a local authority  - not a good move at all! I just resigned as the toxic environment was wearing me down too much and so am job hunting (in SW Englnad).  I'm obviously reviewing my CV but am aware of many places now using AI to filter applicants.  My query is if I should run my CV through AI and submit that version?  Or keep it as I've prepared, in my own authentic words and be true to myself, as I see it?  

 

Also, I'm getting towards the 'autumn' of my career though I don't intend retiring any year soon.  Should my CV give the start/finish years in each post or just the length of time e.g. 7 years, 2 years etc?

 

And just one more thing please - my manager and I never got on well unfortunately.  I don't feell I can rely upon her to give a decent reference - a new situation for me!  Should I still offer her as a referee or is it acceptable to offer another senior colleague instead, please?
