CharityConnect: Anyone seen the new Performance Max (P-Max) campaign option in their Google Ad Grant?
For the first time in 20 years there's a new type of ad campaign in Google Ad Grants. Which would be great, except the rollout is taking place over several months and most accounts still don't have it available as an option. It was only announced a few weeks ago.
I'd be really interested to know: has anyone actually seen one of these in your ads account? If you click the big blue button to create a new campaign, does P-Max come up as an option? I'm still to see one in the wild.
If so, please do try it and share your experiences. Is this going to be a useful new advertising boost for charities, helping you spend the daily budget and get useful conversions? Or is it going to be low impression and underwhelming? Either way, I'd love to know.
Something to be aware of. It misleadingly says that ads appear all across Google. But they don't... not yet at least. For now your P-Max ads appear only in Search results. Which might seem a bit redundant, but the main advantage for now is that this is a keyword-less type of campaign, which might simplify how you target people to see ads.
