Approaching businesses about collection tins

Hello all,

I have just moved to a smaller charity from a national one and I am looking to increase the number of collection tins we have in businesses in the local area.

I was wondering if anyone had any tips on approaching businesses as I come from a charity where everyone already knew about us and they were calling us for tins rather than the other way around.

Any help would be appreciated :)
