This question is from a member of our community that wishes to remain anonymous:
Is there a source that compares charities in terms of staff, expenditure, etc.? For example, is there a source that compares the number of managers to the number of staff across multiple charities? Or, a source that compares the proportion spent on overheads?
I am trying to find out how typical the charity I work for is or isn't. Do we spend a higher proportion of our income than similar sized charities on marketing or less? Do we have a higher turnover of volunteers or less?
I'm not looking for problems, just want a tool to understand our organisation better.
