I am looking for information about setting up as a non profit organisation in the UK. I run two organisations, both of which have charitable aims but the organisations do not have charitable status. One is The Information Point which I have run since 2001 (https://centronuclear.org.uk/) and The other is The Big Sunflower Project (https://thebigsunflowerproject.com/) which I have run since 2011.  I run both organisations, on my own, in my spare time.

My reasons for wanting to get official non profit status, is that I struggle to get funding and today I have been told by an organisation who had shown an interest in funding The Big Sunflower Project that they couldn't fund me because I didn't have non profit status but as I run both organisations in my spare time, I don't want to create a lot of work for myself, in terms of everything I know I would have to do do to get charitable status. I want to keep things as simple as possible.

I have been researching my options at https://www.gov.uk/set-up-a-social-enterprise and would like to know what people here think would be the best way forward for me or if there are any other options of which I am not aware.
