I am the chair of a small community association and have been for about 10 years.

In some recent training attended by a colleague, some surprise was shown at this duration and the suggestion that this is "too long".

I can't find any information suggesting there should be a limit in time I serve as chair and at the moment we have a great little team that works really well.

I will have to stand down in a few years as I approach retirement age, and am starting to look for a successor to get them in post prior to that but is there any reason why we SHOULD change?
