Hi All, 

I have a bit of a puzzle with registering my charity and would really appreciate the some advice on the following. 

 I am at the moment heading a  social enterprise. The purpose of the company is to have a commercial operation to generate funds/profits for forest conservation. We organise forest trips, some of them doing voluntary work, but I am told that the travel operation cannot be part of a charity work and that to work with volunteers one needs to be a charity. Does this mean that I have to have both a charity and a company operating together to be able to deliver our objectives? Or was I misinformed? Any thoughts would be very much appreciated.
