Converting from unincorporated to Associated CIO

I Hussain IT Manager at MPICC Posted 3 years ago

Hi, need some guidance here please.

We are a faith-based Charity organisation, the legal structure is unincorporated currently.  The trustee has decided to convert it to CIO, so I have been looking at Charity Commission's website for the details.
Is there a requirement to call an EGM/AGM regarding this change to the wider membership? Our governing document doesn't specifically mention this but does mention the dissolution section for the disposal of assets and this requires an EGM.

I imagine Governing document will require some form of change or we can keep it as is, as the objective still remains the same? Is there anything else I should be focus or need to consider for conveerting?
Thanks in advance.
I Hussain
