I have recently joined a small charity (a registered charity & company) as CEO, only to discover at my first board meeting that the reserves were low and the trustees began discussing insolvency. Two months along the finances are a bit better.Â
At the last board meeting this week I was asked to update the charity's file in Companies House, to add me as a company director. I am nervous about this, in case this exposes me to personal liabilities.Â
My question is if it's a usual requirement for a charity CEO to also be a registered company director?
