Firstly, apologies for posting a second thread, but thought this would get missed if I just added to my existing one.

I am facing two main roadblocks to getting my charity idea up & running. The first is an equipment issue that I can get sorted, it's just going to require a leap of faith investment. The second is the bigger issue for me: Getting trustees!

I've asked a few friends that I trust etc, but have received variations of 'I don't have time' from all of them. This is fair enough, but I don't necessarily need anyone in the trenches with me on a day-to-day basis. I just need people that I can trust, & who trust me, who will let me get on with the day-to-day stuff then offer oversight/support where needed. I know of at least two family members who would not hesitate at this, & from the research I've done there doesn't appear to be an actual rule against family members being on the board together, but what if all three were from the same family? 

Again, my charity idea is very small, isn't going to be a full time deal (even for me, at least not initially), but until I get a board of trustees in place I cannot get to the next stage of getting set up. 

Anyone have any thoughts/tips/pointers etc?
