Hi everyone,
I’m looking for advice on finding paid part-time data work in the charity sector, ideally around 4 to 15 hours a week or an equivalent monthly allocation.
I work in data and analytics, with experience including performance and insight reporting at Young Lives vs Cancer. My voluntary work also includes cleaning and preparing bird sightings data for Sussex Ornithological Society and data mapping for the Hackney Society.
The kind of work I’m interested in is practical support with spreadsheets and databases: cleaning and checking records, combining files, resolving duplicates and preparing regular service, impact or funder reports. I also use Python and SQL to streamline repetitive tasks where appropriate.
Alongside my main job, I’m looking for work I can complete independently outside normal office hours, with communication mainly by email or shared documents and delivery against agreed deadlines.
Have others found charities that recruit on this basis? Are there particular job titles, recruitment agencies or places to look for a small ongoing workload or a defined project?
I’d appreciate any advice or experiences. Thank you!
