Grant recommendations for non-profit

Trusts & Grants

Renata Plachetkova the Centre for Integration Posted 2 years ago

Hi everyone this is my first time reaching out to this incredible connection.
I'm actually established a CIC company and looking for any suggestions on grants/start-up grants for our nonprofit coffee shop. I would appreciate if can advise me on where to look (we're based in Leeds).

Hi Renata
Try the website https://www.charityexcellence.co.uk its free information on all things grants related.  You input your information and then you are presented with a list of suitable Trusts etc that you can apply too.  Good Luck!

I've spent the afternoon grant hunting! Just google! You might have a local community foundation and they are a great place to start to look as they often hold the funds from many funders.
You can also ask local councillors who have ward funds, although they may be busy today!!
Try local rotary groups etc. too.
Supermarkets often have grant pots - we've just won the Tesco Community award (blue tokens).
Just some ideas!
All the best with it. 🙂

Hi Renata. There's a great organisation called Social Vision, who are based in York. https://social-vision.org.uk/
I think they will be able to sign post you to grants for Yorkshire based organisations.
Best wishes
Zarina
