Help with organising a charity golf day

Hi Everyone,
I am wanting to organise a charity golf day in my area but is not something I have done before and not sure where to start apart from finding a golf course.
Can anyone help with a template they have used to organise or direct me to where I can get the information and help I need to start planning.
