This question is from a member of our community that wishes to remain anonymous:
I have been tasked with contacting corporates to explore sponsorship opportunities for a project we are going to be running. In my experience, corporate relationships take time to develop and are more successful if you already know someone in the company. However, a Trustee is keen to get the ball rolling and achieve maximum results and funding quickly, so I am feeling under pressure.
My question is, if as a fundraiser you do not have a contact within the company and none of your trustees, colleagues etc do, then who is your first point of contact, especially if there is no CSR dept/contact etc on their website?
Thank you
