I am a secondary art teacher with a background in SEND Teaching, (13 years) I have a masters in education and after much debate have decided I would like to step away from my teaching career and into the charity sector. Not because I am finished with education but more because my options for career progression in teaching, is Senior Management in schools and I feel I'd like something different. I've seen education co-ordinator roles etc and just wondered if anyone else had made a similar move and interested to see how it went?
I feel I have lots of transferable skills and would be excited to try a new opportunity... but is it do-able?
