Help! Should I stay or should I go?

Hello Everyone, could I have advice on the reasons why it would be considered a good move to change from a Registered Charity to CIO. A trustee is keen to consider this as an option but I cannot see many benefits other than not filing documentation with Companies House.
Also, if anyone has done this could you advise the process that was followed.
