Renewing a lease

I am currently working with a community association, who lease their facilities from the parish council, the lease is due for renewal and the question has been asked of me to find out.
The question is
Does a community association leasing a community centre have statutory rights as the tenant to renew their lease under the Landlord and Tenant Act 1954?
Has anyone out there have experience of this and is there anything I can advise. The one suggestion has been to go for legal advice as this is a specialist area.
