CharityConnect: Volunteers needed to support families in Gloucestershire (Barnardo's)

We're looking for volunteers within the Forest of Dean and Stroud areas of Gloucestershire who are able to help support local families.
Our Befriender role has been created to help s provide a Family Support service to families with children from birth to 11 who need that extra helping hand. Whether that be supporting them to access a froup they've not been to before, helping them completing statutory or other important forms and paperwork, giving them a hand with shopping because they can't hold onto three children and a trolley, or playing with the children to allow the parent five minutes to sit down with an uninterrupted cup of tea. The level of support we give to each family is tailored to that family's need.

Our Outreach role has been created to enhance our delivery of 1:1 family support to local families. This includes offering information and advice at all stages of a child's development from birth to 11 years.
To find out more about these roles please get in touch with me on [email protected] or 01453 549860 or take a look at the full role descriptions on the Barnardo's website https://www.barnardos.org.uk/get_involved/volunteering.htm
These opportunities are also available in the Gloucester City area of the County. Please contact [email protected] for this area.
