Our charity has steadily grown year on year and we are at the point whereby we cannot grow any further without our first paid role, overseeing the day to day work at the animal rescue centre. We would like to understand what options we have available to us and the advantages and disadvantages. For example we have concerns regarding any additional burden employing just 1 person such as TAX, NI, HR policies and Procedures, holiday and sickness pay etc.
Are there better options for us at this stage to have 1 paid role, for example employing a person full time self employed?
