I have written a blog about different Donation plugins for WordPress we have first hand experience of some of these but not all.

Do you use any of these, what are your experiences?
What do you use, why and would you recommend it?

Give donation plugin includes nice donation forms, a full-featured reporting system, complete donor management and it is possible to integrate with theme or page builders. This plugin would suit most charity and non-profit website donation needs.

Charitable Donation is a a free WordPress donation plugin that has support for geolocation, simple updates, videos, user avatars and anonymous donations. This is a  pay what you want as this is what the developers ask for, you have the option to support the plugin or have it for free.

As you would expect from a well established payment system, PayPal donations has every thing you need. A lot of people use PayPal and it is the preferred payment method for many.

You can use Seamless Donations for free, add-ons and extensions are available to buy if required. The plugin is quick and easy to setup and connects to your PayPal account.

If you are using WooCommerce for your online store, WooCommerce has a donation Plugin. T0 setup simply the donation is created as a product for the customer to add to the basket. Alternatively a donation field can be added to the basket asking customers to donate on top of what they are purchasing.

Smart Donations has simple Donation buttons which can be placed anywhere on your site. Goals can be set with the aim to convince people to donate more.
Donorbox quickly embeds in to your website and a recurring donation system.
Unfortunately Donorbox has a transaction fee once you start collecting a larger amount. The monthly fee is not high, but as the majority of the WordPress donation plugins listed here don’t charge anything.
Thanks
Shawn
