Hello, I’m seeking guidance on charity structure when operating through a transitional phase where we don’t yet have people on payroll.
Specifically the interim director is working as a consultant to restructure, fundraise and build a new team - but if they’re invoicing for their time are they legally able to do this if they’re the ones making payments, etc? Or should invoices go to trustees to make payments?Â
Trustees approve any payments in the bank account and receive invoices but they don’t do the logging of invoices and payment amounts, etc as that’s part of the administrative process covered by the interim director.
