Direct Messaging is coming to CharityConnect! 💬

I’m very, very pleased to reveal that direct messaging is coming to CharityConnect! 😀 From the end of next week, you will be able to message other members and the CharityConnect team right here on the site. WOOHOO!
This year we have been asking for your feedback and we’ve held multiple user research sessions. We have learned that direct messaging would allow you to connect more easily with people on CharityConnect.
And since we’re all about connecting (the clue's in the name 😉) we are keen to roll out any developments that make connecting easy as pie!
Direct messaging will also allow me as Community Manager to get in contact quickly with you all; sending welcome messages to new members, helping some of you to use the platform, pointing members to relevant content or putting into practice our community guidelines.
Whilst we are really excited about direct messaging, ultimately, CharityConnect is a public forum for charity professionals. So, where possible please make sure to have your conversations in open so that they can help as many members as possible. If someone asks you something on direct message that you think could be helpful to more people, please ask them to also post it publicly.
We do of course expect you to follow our Community Guidelines when it comes to direct messaging. If you think someone is breaking the guidelines, please report the message or send me a DM and myself or someone in the team will be in contact with the sender.
As always, your privacy matters. We would only ever read your direct messages if you have been reported by another member and we consider it necessary.
Direct messaging comes as the result of working with you as a community and we hope that you will all be as excited as we are! If you do have any questions or feedback on the changes, please just leave a comment below. Your thoughts really do matter to us.
