Hello wonderful members of CharityConnect,
With the rise of AI-driven platforms like ChatGPT by OpenAI, many of us have found a handy tool to assist with various writing tasks. However, I also recognise that some members might be new or still a bit cautious when it comes to using these platforms.
To offer a bit of structure and guidance, I've devised a simple writing prompt tailored for charitable endeavours. This can be used directly with ChatGPT or any other writing tool you prefer.
Generating e-mails using ChatGPT or your preferred tool
  • Prompt: Write a [type of email] email for our [type of charitable cause] to [recipient] in a [style] tone.
  • Example: Write a fundraising appeal email for our children's health charity to potential donors in a compassionate tone.
For those familiar with ChatGPT or similar tools, you can input this prompt to generate various email drafts. If you're new to the platform, it's a user-friendly way to create content while staying in control of the message you want to convey.
I encourage you to share your generated emails  or discuss your experiences and hesitations using such platforms.
Looking forward to the conversation and the wonderful email drafts this community can come up with!
